A little about me, I love people, I love getting together with a good friend, and sharing LIFE! What a gift to have others to walk with, through the highs and the lows, the sorrows and the joys. We need one another! Did I say I love people? But my absolute, hands down favorite thing to talk or write about is Jesus. I am a born again Christian and Jesus is not my home boy, he is my Savior and my Redeemer and is my greatest treasure!. I am reminded every day how much I not only need Him but how much I also desire His presence in my life as I raise my four boys and journey in my marriage to Kevin!
I also love gardening when my kids let me do it, and pretty much every single analogy that goes along with gardening. Intentional decorating, and DIY are also right up there which you may find on here from time to time!
A little about this blog, Rise and Glory was inspired by my daily routine. I was rising and opening my phone instead of beginning it with God. I was left wanting more. So I began to rise and worship God each day with a Psalm. It keeps my eyes on Him and reminds me how great and holy He is and leads my eyes to look to Jesus instead of being consumed by my present circumstances. The more I know of Jesus, the more I love Him. The more I love Him the more I care about HIs glory over my own.
My prayer is that you will not see me, but that as I share parts of my life you will see Jesus Christ - our greatest treasure, who continues to free me from everything that I once thought was a good, successful life. And how He is daily moulding me to be more like himself.
There is HOPE and there is much JOY in this life, but it is not found apart from Jesus. In John 17:17 Jesus prayed, "Sanctify them in your truth, your word is truth" And this blog is my story of how that truth - His word, has brought true victory, freedom from striving and an abundance of joy to my soul regardless of what is happening in this while journey we call life.
I hope that I can inspire and encourage you to thrive in Christ, to not just know the name of Jesus, but that you will truly know Him as your Lord and Savior and treasure Him above anything this world has to offer!
“Now this is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.“
